Warwick Christmas Tree Festival

Warwick TreeHere’s a photo of the Warwick Bellringers’ tree, which we entered in St Mary’s Warwick Christmas tree festival.

We tidied up and reused decorations from previous years trees; The Nativity, The twelve days of Christmas, Oranges and Lemons, The Snowmen and of course some bells from several of the other years and called it Christmas trees past, with some newly wrapped presents under the tree for Christmas tree present.

The show of of 50 beautifully decorated trees was opened on Victorian evening on 25th November. Two thousand people came though the church on the evening and another thousand by the end of the weekend. There isn’t public voting this year, but the mayor did the voting instead and our tree received a certificate of merit.

The festival closes at the end of Sunday 5th December, call in and see them if you are in Warwick. It will soon be time to think of a theme for next year!
